Hi Michael, There is a strong similarity there, to my 1984 Torpado Superlight... <http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/fujifish1/MarksVintage/Torpado/Torpado_19 84_Superlight_52PrlBlue/Torp84Superlight52PrlBlue21.jpg.html>

Fellow Listmembers, There is an auction on german Ebay featuring a Billato frame. Check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.de/Bilato-Cinelli-Rennrad-Stahlrahmen-Edelschmiede-RH-54 _W0QQitemZ250239220296QQihZ015QQcategoryZ32509QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem Or http://tinyurl.com/4cqpvu

The rear ends have a typical design in the way the chain stay are mitered and joined to the ends which I really appreciate. See here http://i18.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/eb/28/abbe_1.JPG I just recently have built up a similar Chromovelato frame for a friend which had the same treatment but no stickers. It had unique treatment of the main tubes which had machined braod grooves on the outside. It was not like the crimping in Gilco-tubing but machined. Can anybody tell wether this rear end treatment was a typical feature or signature of frames made by Billato? I know that Billato was (or is?) one of the biggest outlets for steelframes for other brands in Italy in the 80ies and until this auction heve never seen one labelled Billato. So any input will be appreciated.
