In the process of refurbishing various components to be used in conjunction with the rebuild of my less-than-stock but very close to period appropriate 1975 Crescent Pepita Professional De Luxe 320, I found myself in need of replacing a few bits associated with the Pino International, Ltd. quick release mechanisms slated for use. Specifically, one of the nylon "dog bone" screw fittings had been mangled beyond redemption and the "E" style circlips that secure the QR handles themselves had become oxidized beyond meaningful reclamation. After doing a little bit of research, I managed to source near perfect replacements - which of course could only be procured in quantities far beyond that which I will ever need.
As a result, I am offering on a first come / first served basis the following individual parts which may be used to refurbish your own set of vintage Pino QR skewers:
1) Four opaque white 8-32 thread / 1/4" long nylon Fillister style slotted head machine screws for proper replacement of those screw fittings found on the knurled adjusters.
2) Four black colored 8-32 thread / 1/4" long nylon Fillister style slotted head machine screws for alternate replacement of those screw fittings found on the knurled adjusters (...while the proper units should be the opaque white style described above, quite frankly, these black ones better suit the overall esthetic of those vintage Pino skewers in my humble opinion - but they are certainly NOT what would have been fitted originally).
3) Two black phosphate steel "E" style circlips apropos a 3/16" shaft diameter for replacement of those used to properly secure the QR handles.
In my particular circumstance, I have chosen to place the now redundant pieces from my Pino Morroni quick release mechanisms into an appropriately labeled plastic bag which I intend to keep with my small parts spares (...i.e. I am NOT going to throw them out, so do not even think to ask whether you might have my originals) - choosing to fit these new replacement bits on my own skewers instead since they will most definitely be subject to actual use. You are invited to inspect the finished product by clicking on the following link to photographs of my Crescent project in process and then selecting any of those four particular entries which depict the Pino QR skewers in question:
Realizing full well that Pino International, Ltd. quick release mechanisms are not exactly the most common component to be found, anyone interested in receiving the aforementioned rebuild parts for same may contact me directly and "OFF LIST" in order to request a set which I will in turn post via USPS First Class mail to your designated address free of charge (...priority shipping and/or overseas delivery also available, however, such arrangements will require that you agree to cover said shipping fees).
