Simpler than that, I just can't picture the folks drawn to this category being the same that would employ that "gettin' the edge" attitude. Maybe. Just not likely.
I believe they're much more likely to be riders who are seeking the extra challenge of competing -- and completing the event -- on older technology. Why bother, otherwise?
