Hello list, this just to announce that on august 25 th 2008 will be held the first Vint age Bike Show (Exposition de Vélos Anciens) in the village of Moulinet, S outh West France. There will be prizes for different categories which I sha ll perforce win, as I am the only exhibitor. Thirty vintage lightweights wi ll be on show.
For the 2009 edition, other participants may be able to apply to participat e, and a race will be held around a 45 km course of rugged and difficult te rrain. I and the mayor of the village hope to turn this into a decent sized event in years to come.
Photos and press cuttings from the local papers will be made available afte r the 2008 edition. Television coverage may be available, it is something t he organizers (the comité des fêtes de Moulinet) is looking into now.
