I've had the same positive experience as George. However, I'm hoping this post doesn't jinx it all. Thus far, I've had no issues with slipping as long as the wedge is properly torqued with my laymen's "tighten 'till you can't no more" spec. I have also had the Sugino made version of this stem (dura ace?) and have not had any issues. It could very well be an issue of riding style and where the rider places pressure points on the bars. Who know, maybe just another italian quirk.
