In my unending quest to sharpen our focus and reduce bandwidth, I am having to think about event announcements...

This event prompted the thought this AM, what is vintage about it except it's old? My Carolina Cup race is over 30 years old, but I will not promote it to this group unless I can find some specific reason involving vintage bikes. Most/all of the entries will be astride thoroughly modern and off topic bikes, I assure you! So it's Off Topic.

So, I must come to the conclusion that cruel as it may seem, "We don't want to hear about events unless there is a STRONG connection to vintage lightweight bikes." Makes sense, no?

Thanks amigos

The 100/200 Returns!? ?

The 100/200 is one of Vermont's classic rides, traditionally a 200+ mile border-to-border ride down scenic Rte. 100, done in a single day. We organized this ride six times in the 1980s and it was even recognized by Bicycling Magazine as one of the top six epic rides in the US. Though many folks have done this ride in other groups, or even alone, we feel that it's high time we blew the dust off our version of this classic.? ?
