All my personal bikes are equipped right lever to the front brake. I started out riding bikes set-up that way as a kid in England and have set them up that way since. Motorcycling experience has probably reinforced this in me as well. My "loaner" bikes are set up right to rear as that is what most people are used to.
I have had some wakeup moments riding other peoples bikes, only one I can think of that actually caused a dismount, but that none too graceful occurrence was off road and further details of the incident are thankfully off topic.
