Subject: [CR] Viscount with lugs..

This particular Viscount, dating from the 70s, has nothing whatsoever to do with the Aerospace range. It isn't even lugged.

The frame can at best be described as a sports model. The seat cluster and bottom  bracket assembly are bronze-welded and not too smoothly either. J ust the head tube assembly appears to be lugged. The head tube is in fact o ne of those one-piece jobbies with the false lugs pressed into the head tub e..often found on cheap Italian and sometimes German frames. The general qu ality of the frame can be detected by the way the rear mech cable stop is j ust about brazed to the chainstay. The stop itself really is from the botto m of the barrel!

Avoid this frame like the plague. This seller turns over large quantities o f frames..and anything that is at least half decent has a high staring pric e. He knows what he has here..and he knows it's very low end - hence the lo w starting price.

Apart from this frame, I have noticed that when my emails appear on the CR List, they are littered with added letters that I have not typed, and occas ionally symbols, I think Ao or ao turns up regularly. These unsolicited int rusions make the text difficult to read. Anyone out there can tell em how t o obtain just the text I write and nothing but the text?

Thanks in anticipation
