Subject: [CR] Mystery hub consensus

After reading all your responses on and off list, I am willing to bet that this was a high flange hub that was "customized" by reducing and drilling the left side flange, probably polishing out any manufacturers markings.

The bearings, one side being European FAG, the other Japanese Koyo, likely having been replaced ove time.

The axle fittings look very Lambert/Viscount but it may have been hard to remove the mmanufacturer's mark, as if I recall correctly, were rather deeply stamped into the hub shell. So it is sheer speculation as to what the hub's original brand was...

Thanks everyone!

Are both the bearings the same? Have they been replaced? KOYO are Japanese bearings

Looks like it has been modified. Low side spoke holes don't seem real uniform in their placement, may just be worn, though.

The high flange slots, and axle spacer for the freewheel side look much like an early (70-72)?Sunshine hub I have.

I'm guessing Japanese?
