Gang, Aside from a flat (versus curved) quick-release skewer and the dates stamped on the inside of the axle locknuts, are there any noticeable differences between an early 70's low-flange Record hubset and the later (say, early-mid 80's) low-flange version? Could said 80's hubs when used in tandem with flat skewers pass for "correct" on an early 70's bike?
