An old friend of mine purchased a Viner back in the early '80s -- I don't remember for sure, but I think the model was called "professional." He still has it, and still loves it. It was built with Columbus SL main tubes, while the stays were Falk brand tubes -- and the seat stays were tapered super thin as they approached the seat cluster. It was a nicely built frame, with cutouts in lugs (stars, I believe -- or were they diamonds?). Another thing I remember is that the angles were pretty steep so it handled pretty quick, but he could still ride it no hands without trouble, and it had a pretty sweet ride. Viner never had the following here in the US that some other Italian marques had -- maybe on par with Torpado (?), another nicely built bike that didn't have a big following in the US.
