As a Brummie and stuck in the MIDDLE so to speak! I had NEVER heard of PATH for a track, BUT All the Claud Butler Cats from 1937 on use the term PATH. for track bikes and track ends etc. Did a lot of 4000m pursuits on The TRACK, took a path to get there,from the bloody road.
