Hi Jack,

I worked in a used bike shop for years and we used to burn out a bb cup remover every couple of years because we used it so frequently.

The other option, though not quite as universal is made by hozan, it fits at least two different fixed cups and works pretty well, but the steel handle is pretty soft and will definitely bend.

If you can't afford these tools for your program, perhaps you can find a local shop who will help you out when you are in a jam for a trade for a vintage part or some such.
