With the discussion of Swiss threaded BBs and the appropriate tapping/chasing tool, I though I would make this offer to the CR list in the hope of putting these tools in the hands of those that might best be able to help with this need as it arises in the CR community. I have a limited number of VAR Swiss (35x1.00 left-hand) taps. These are new and unused, of course, and are very high quality cutting tools made for the VAR #380 system. I believe that these also fit Campag BB tools, but not really sure (can anyone confirm that or other compatibility?). These are also no longer made, so are quite rare, but also of limited need these days. Normal price for VAR taps is about $135 each. I am offering these for $68 each plus shipping. I have 6 available at this price, and accept PayPal or checks.
If you have a compatible BB tool, this is an inexpensive way to add this capability to your arsenal, and maybe provide Swiss BB service in your area if needed. And I can obviously offer this service locally too.
