I am by NO means an expert on Merckx or Kessels bikes...But lemme throw in my 2 cents... It is my understanding that in addition to the common "gas pipe" bikes offered by Falcon, they also marketed a Nuovo-Record equipped upper tier bike in the early 70's. I saw a recent auction for a similar bike (perhaps even THE same bike) end on German recently. My guess was it was one of the said Falcons... [eBay auction number 320437336523]

> As the owner of two Kessels bikes (a Main D'Or and a Merckx), I am intrigued but a bit puzzled by this ebay listing from Germany: 250521238174

> I have not seen these lugs on any Merckx bikes that Kessels built, and am not sure what to make of them.

> My silver Merckx (77 or 78) is very different. It's bb threading is Italian, not English, and the lugs and bb shell also don't match this one. This bike also has no tubing decals. Is it a repaint?
