I think the only real problem you are facing is whether the tire is held well enough and will remain so as the tape ages. I'd suggest deflating the tire and testing how tight it is by pushing the tire sideways with your thumbs.

If it comes free easily, it needs to be reglued. Pull them both off and reattach with rim cement or Tufo tape. It will be important someday to remove the tire, so perhaps you should use standard Tufo rather than Tufo Extreme.

Tubulars that are wider are intended to fit the rim base the same way as narrower ones. They usually result in a wheel that has a larger diameter. I doubt there is any real difference in the pressure between rim and tire. Plus, many of is stretch tubulars before mounting them.
