Is this the same guy who once owned that shop near the Gare du Nord, "Maison du Vélo"? My recollection is that La Maison was owned by a Franco-American guy, or perhaps Monsieur Domela was the manager at La Maison, before its demise?
In any event, when I visited during the 1980s (and later) La Maison du Vélo was THE shop for mass produced classic stuff. (Of course, a Singer was - and still is - the ultimate for those without monetary constraints. But that's a different story...
