I have two Sieber track bikes that bracket this one in age, a late 30's one and an early 50's one. Mine have 1/2" pitch rings and are drilled. John Ei senmann in New York was an importer and many of the rings and pedals have a stamp with Eisenmann on them. Great workmanship for the era and it seems the finishes are durable as both bikes I have look very nice.

Beautiful!Â
I notice both the fork crown and rear brake bridge are drilled. Is that how
the bike was originally?Â

Jerry: The Sieber track bike is shown with a half inch pitch chainring. Whe n  I started riding track 1950/51 all track bikes came with inch pitch a nd and  most f the racers used block chains.  In our club drilling a tra ck frame for brakes was tantamount to a sacrilege.  Gene Diggs, Rochester Hills, MI
