if you're looking for a Motobecane Team Champion, I'd suggest starting a new thread, see above, since otherwise some folks will simply read "On Topic Ti railed Ideale" and ignore the rest.
The CR List is a great place to start, but in case you don't find anything here, I'd also peruse eBay, and not just in the US. German and Austrian eBay won't have many Motobecanes, but you could search http://www.ebay.fr and http://www.ebay.co.uk. The United Kingdom site, for instance, just lists a " 'Le Champion' TOURING BIKE Vitus from 1986" which was probably built 1976 or earlier. It's item number 200309508429 and is 58cm, so probably a tad too large, but you get the idea:
