Hi, I'm new to the list but I can add a little to this. My saddle is the same as the one in Peter's photos but still has the yellow Ideale Titane decal that Angel described and the front metal cap has an oval embossed Ideale TB logo. I bought it sometime in the 70s (77 sounds right) after a cat sprayed on and ruined the quilted Unicanitor that came with my Holdsworth in 1970. I think the titanium is probably too soft but it's held up well. Probably few were sold because they were very expensive, $300 Canadian in the 70s, as I recall, and plastic was a cheaper, easier and more versatile way to save weight. Also they were retro already when they came out. By 1970 the Cinelli saddle was the standard in racing.
