Subject: [CR] Campy Rally Derailleur Problem

Thanks to those who offered advice/suggestions for my "overtight" Campagnolo Rally derailleur problem.

Everything is installed correctly and works freely (e.g., spring, backing plate, circlip, etc.), but still overtightens and binds upon installation.  Should note that I have the same problem with another one of these first generation RALLY derailleurs, and I have decided to basically scrap them.  Already replaced the one on my Rauler tandem with a second generation RALLY derailleur (the model that is basically a Nuovo with a long Rally cage).  It works GREAT!!!

Makes me wonder why Campy changed the design back to a non-sprung upper mounting bolt?!?!?

Anyway, life goes on.  Just amazed that I couldn't get a Campy product to work the way it was intended to work - a first for me.

Thanks again to those who responded to my problem!
