These two ICS framesets are not on topic but are unusual and interesting. Our own CR Listmaster has featured several excellent ICS bikes and framesets (including the "Magni, Ferrari and Design" series) over the years. Some of the more spectacular ones are found on the CR site. The ICS company, located in Switzerland, was owned by Artemio Granzotto, an Italian inventor and businessman. The finished frameset is late and from the series called "Design". Notwithstanding, the finish is still chromovelato, but not of the quality of ICS's earlier production. Fans of the marque will notice the changes in frame design and paint which evolved over the years. The unfinished frameset was one of several which were sold when the ICS firm closed in about 2003. As in many of the later ICS bikes, the seat post was fixed by an internal expander, obviating the need for a binder bolt. Granzotto was a great innovator, but none of his original contributions are in use today. All ICS framesets were made by Losa in Italy and then finished in Zurich. George
