Subject: [CR] Can you help me identify this Ofmega crank?

Hi All...

I have found the perfect crank for my project but I'm curiou s as to what model it is. It's an Ofmega crank. The crank has a five arm sp ider swaged onto the crank arm and is ISO taper rather than the proprietary Ofmega/Avocet taper. The crank arms, dust caps, and small chain ring have "Ofmega" engraved on them and the small chain ring has "42" for the tooth c ount engraved on it as well but there are no other markings of any sort. It 's 144mm bcd and this one has chain rings with the inner webbing in the ' Nuovo Record' style rather than the cut-away 'Super Record' style. I'm pret ty sure I've seen pictures of these cranks with both styles of rings which I assume might indicate early-mid 70's vs. late 70'-early 80's vintage. Can anyone identify the model and narrow down the vintage? My guess is mid 70' s at this point. Thanks.

Here's a link to a picture of it: http://s195 ..photobucket.com/albums/z77/Kommisar89/?action=view&current=Ofmegacrank ..jpg
