On March 14th, I gave advance notice that I would be hosting a CR ride leaving from my home on Saturday April 4th. There was then some worry about possible bad weather on the 4th, so there was talk about possibly switching date, but the potential for bad weather now seems to have been excluded from the forecast, so Saturday is confirmed. May I suggest that you are all welcome to arrive from 11:30 AM onwards if you want to socialize a bit before the ride and that I want to be on the road by 1:00 PM, ride for approximately 25-30 miles before retreating to my deck to socialize some more and view bikes.
It has also been suggested that I indicate a theme for the ride so as to help, those with multiple steeds, in their bike selection. I would therefore like to suggest that we have a De Rosa themed ride. Riders with non-De Rosa bikes will obviously be welcome to come too. I can also offer a number of bikes for loan for those who might find themselves to be in the Philadelphia area without a bike over the weekend, including a tandem, a triplet, a trike etc...
Given that I live in South Jersey, the ride will be flat and therefore fixed gear friendly. There are no hills in my area, but we will find some nice country roads with good road surfaces. At least one person has confirmed that he will be riding a fixed gear bike.
