Offering for sale to CR list members only, a 1977 (?) Schwinn Superior Filet-Brazed Chrome-Moly bicycle. Apprears to be 100% original including NERVAR 5-pin cotterless crank, Shwinn Approved "Le Tour" rear derailleur (Shimano Crane), etc..... Price is $150.00 plus shipping. Would be happy to deliver to T-town or possibly Cirque.
Bike has been obviously stored outside due to poor cosmetic condition - frame has exterior rust and spokes are badly rusted/corroded. Could be restored, or simply clean it up and use as a city bike or winter beater. Parts should clean up very nicely.
Frame size is 20.5" CTC, 21" CTT, or 22.5" center to very top of extended seat tube. Frame color is silver. Serial number on headtube reads "GJ808301" which I believe should indicate a 1973, but looks more like a 76 or 77 to me???? But, I'm not a Schwinn expert.
Will gladly provide a few photos of someone is interested. I am planning on parting this bike out on eBay if there is no interest here on the list.
