Thanks for posting Mark. I have seen many old city bikes with that same Chesini logo on the downtube in Verona.

Persons from Verona are referred to as Veronese, Montorio Montoriese. Montorio is right outside of Verona proper, you can't readily tell where one starts and ends. Montorio is also where Mario Confente is from.

Surfing the Web, I just ran across this c.1950 B/W image of young amateur Adriano Zamboni, wearing the jersey of Sport Club Verona Montoriese (his place of birth was Montorio Veronese ... the same?). In this clear shot, he proudly stands behind a Campagnolo Paris Roubaix or Cambio Corsa equipped CHESINI. A very early one indeed ... and a nice example for the Chesini fans...

Here's another one, with part of what appears to be the same Chesini, although Adriano wears a different jersey: http://www.cyclingwebsite.net/beeldfiche.php?beeldid=27791 Or, TinyURL: http://tinyurl.com/m3vcur

...and this one is likely the head badge of same Chesini, but it's not so clear: http://www.cyclingwebsite.net/beeldfiche.php?beeldid=27792 Or, TinyURL: http://tinyurl.com/kvlk6r
