Hi Nino,

Yeah, I remember Al & Angelo. Their families were trying to convince me to buy that shop after they both died in 1989... A few years ago Al's widow gave me the miniature track bike that (NYC frame builder) Dick Power built in 1950.

Al's daughter found me because her daughter Googled "Al Toefield" and my web site was the only hit. Al had the bike because he bought what was left of Dick Power's shop after Dick died. I never did the Pepsi Marathon but I knew lots of guys who did. Remember GBSC rider Billy "Black Socks" Bauer used to "win" that thing every year by doing something like 350 miles in the 24 hours?

I'm really enjoying all this NYC stuff.
