I have seen one of the Trek 420's and while it is certainly a nicer bike than most of the mixtes commonly available it was somehow not quite as nice as a lot of the other 80's trek's that I've come across.

I am very happy with the ride qualities and finish of the 2 motobecane mixtes I've built up, one for my wife Rachael and the other for myself. The latter is the gold one that I built with N.R. components (the front der. has been upgraded since the photos were taken.)

Rachaels is built with a mix of multi cultural components but I think is a slightly nicer frame. Hers is a Grand Jubile and mine a grand touring.
