Subject: [CR] Holdsworth or Claud Butler ID / DAte by Serial Number
So I posted about this frame, earlier, trying to identify it. Folks
suggested I had a Holdsworth or a Windsor. Someone else thought it might be
a Butler. The serial number (on the bottom bracket shell, printed longways
starting at the drive-side) is 9861. Is there a database for 70s British
serial numbers? This bike is listed on e-bay

ample photos. I have a holdsworth from a similar era with some similar
features, noteably an off-center circular shifter-stop on the downtube which
