Well, I don't think it's really all that bad at all.  I don't think I'd have to nerve to do it, but it does show a lot of time put into a beloved frame, and it's an intriguing use of the canvas.  And you can still see Bill Hurlow's lovely work.  Good for you, Dick, ride the devil out of it.
