Overall, that frame looks like it's in pretty sound condition. I'm reasonably sure there have been a pretty large number of things one could have purchased for a $1000 or more on eBay that would be relatively poor purchases in comparison to this frame. Cinelli track bikes from the 70's are somewhat rare in the overall scheme of things. I think the drilled BB shell indicates the lighter version frame as opposed to the sprint version. Looks like a nice project for someone; and restoring a track bike is less expensive than doing a road bike. Cost of frame restoration is the same, but a lot less spent on components to complete the project. I see that as somewhat of a bonus.

Is this price a little bit high for such a ratty frame? Or do the holes in the bottom bracket (or the pista provenance) make it all worthwhile? Maybe I should go get a drill ...

I must confess that I am surprised that something this beat-up, in need of paint and in-need of a bondo, would command a bid of ~$1000.00 so far ...
