I have a set of similar Campagnolo GS hubs laced to Weinmann Scherens rims. They are drilled 32/40. I have them ready to go into a '55 Hetchins frame that is being painted now. I used to ride similar wheels back in the day, when they were current fare, as everyday wheels. I do not remember any spoke breakage problems.

Dear All, I'd like to get a collective opinion on the old Normandy hubs that I recently purchased. Having read the post entitled "Do not use those Normandy hubs", it has been brought to my attention that the hubs may lead to popping spokes. The flange configuration is such that the wheel must be more dished than normal. I'd like to get more opinions on this, before I either use the hubs, or relegate them to paper weights. Here is a link to my blog. I have posted a photo of an early set of Campagnolo Gran Sport Hubs with the same flange configuration (top photo). http://petersclassicwheels.blogspot.com/ Your help and opinions will be very much appreciated. Kind regards, Peter Rogers
