Subject: [CR] Paramount Issue - Small World - Help a Guy Out

I wasn't following the Paramount discussion closely not being a Chicago-phile UNTIL my buddy who's a Schwinn nut of the Stingray variety called me to say an eBay posting of his was causing some discussion. Turns out the Paramount in question is his.

Take note, this guy is not trying to pull anything, he's got a bike that falls through the cracks and defies immediate identification. He bought it recently from what he thought was the original owner. He's not a racing bike guy like most of us, his love is fat tire stuff so he's always snooping for bikes and pulls out a skinny tire one from the shadows of someone's garage occasionally. Take note also that he pulled the ad as soon as one of you notified him of the questionable pedigree.

The stickers and head badge seem original to him. Certainly the component selection is suspect but we've all see the Frankenstein changes that occur over 3 decades.

He sincerely wants to learn what he has whether it's a one-off Paramount, a LeTour or whatever...

I've got some photos he forwarded me, I've also got his permission to share his email with a Paramount/Schwinn expert who can help with the ID. He's based here in Longmont CO and would welcome a personal inspection by anyone here along the Colorado front range.

After he figures out the Paramount issue he has a Mangusta he wants to share with the world.........
