Jody, You gotta show a little more than THAT if you really want people to try to ID this. Fork tangs, top head lug, b.b. shell sockets, under b.b. shell, chain stays, stay to dropout treatment, dropouts, etc.

I'm guessing the 565 means 56.5mm, for frame size, either c-c, c-top of tube, or c-top of seat lug.

Hi all..

can anyone help ID this mystery bike? I just picked it up off of CL.

Italian BB, Campi dropouts,Record Cranks, date:1974. Cinelli old-logo bars and stem, record levers, record shift levers. Derailleurs and brakes were swapped out for later japanese stuff. Had record hubs on later(I think) Ambrosio rims. Hubs had flat levers with rubbers. The only markings are the #565 on the seat lug, no marks on the bb. Interesting detail on the fork crown. I think the braze-on shifter bosses were added, by somone who didn't have a jig! Rather slack seat tube angle and long-ish chainstays. Nutted brake mountings with lots of distance to the rim. 1974 (crank date) seems about right..Doesn't seem to be chromed underneath, but theres LOTS of paint on it

any ideas, anyone?
