I would agree with your assessment that "...the lugs on the PY (are) quite variable" only with respect to, or as a function of, time - which is to say that they varied over the years of production, but not within any given year of production. However, speaking to perhaps larger issues begged by your posting, I also ought publicly acknowledge that my uncharacteristically pithy pronouncements with respect to the particular purported PY were at the time based upon but a cursory gander and that they were typed in great haste as I sought to skedaddle out the door in order to retrieve my own PY-10 CP after its having recently been completely refurbished and repainted so as to affect a 1977 Peugeot-Esso-Michelin team bike by the fine folks at Elliot Bay Cycles in Seattle (...who did a GREAT job of following through on every excruciating detail and overly exacting request I placed upon them - pictures forthcoming). Had I taken the time to give the whole "it's raining PY-10's" matter a bit more attention at the time, I believe that I would have been better served to have stated that the finish filing work on the lugs in evidence on the bike offered in eBay auction 160551544380 is not typical of (...i.e. substandard in comparison to) that found on genuine PY-10 examples from that same era ... AND ... that said bike's bottom bracket shell (...yes, it is a type of lug, but a very specific one) is inconsistent with what was used on PY-10 bicycles of similar vintage.

Robert, you mentioned the lugs being wrong on the third auction example. The fork crown is obviously incorrect, but aren't the lugs on the PY quite variable? I own a '79 PY10 with long point lugs (pretty sure they're Bocamas) that don't look anything like the more common short-points.
