Owen,

and all. Well, yes, I really am out of touch. I'm still in my old Dettos with the metal cleats. Those look cool though. I can see the advantage of a quick exit.

\r?\n> Yes, standard issue PowerGrips.  I have used these

\r?\n> since the 70s on all my bikes.

\r?\n> Sadly, I can't use these with either my beloved Barelli

\r?\n> B-10 nor the Phil Wood CHP

\r?\n> pedals.  You need eyelets on the back of the pedal for

\r?\n> the rear corner mount.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> They are nice.  They are not widely used, those who do

\r?\n> like them, love them.

\r?\n> I had them on my Ritchey Mtn bike, as well as my TDF since

\r?\n> they came out.

\r?\n> Rather cheap.  Last forever.  The practical fact

\r?\n> that they are sport shoe or even

\r?\n> dress shoe friendly has remained a big advantage for the

\r?\n> pleasure bikes.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> They come in a couple colors.  Most have the name/logo

\r?\n> in huge letters, but you

\r?\n> just unscrew the mount and flip the strap over.  Then

\r?\n> it's on the inside.  Personally,

\r?\n> I just love them.  Mount with toe in, straighten your

\r?\n> foot to tighten. Adjustable.

\r?\n> I don't use cleats except under duress.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Strap me in.

\r?\n> That's a nice bike Owen,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> But moreover...what about those toe straps ?  I've

\r?\n> never seen anything like them.
