At my LBS, useful-sized Velcro straps are stocked as replacements for frame-mounted pump brackets for US$2. I always keep several of them in my saddlebag, for use as brake locks (strap the lever compressed against the handlebar to keep the front wheel from turning) and flashlight attachers (two straps will fix a small AA/AAA flashlight to the bars for emergency purposes). -- Peter Adler Berkeley, California/USA
