This is not working. There is no "settings" button at the top of the page, contrary to Rick's suggestion. Also, the suggestion of Thomas Adams that I try to reset my password doesn't work because Google says there is no account corresponding to my email address. Yet obviously I am either a member or a subscriber, or I wouldn't be able to get email or post replies.
The only option left is to unsubscribe.

At the very bottom of each Google Groups Cr posting is the url for this:

On the very top of that page click "settings" and choose: "Group Settings" and on the next page you will find all your subscribed groups. From there you can choose your desired Subscription Type from the drop down menu.
