The difference is that Google Groups sets the "Reply-To" header to the list address, while the old MailMan software did not set a "Reply-To" header at all.
RFC 822 states that "If there is a "From" field, but no "Reply-To" field, the reply should be sent to the address(es) indicated in the "From" field."
MailMan left the "From" field pointing to the originator of the message, not the list, therefore in the absence of "Reply-To" it defaulted to the "From" field per RFC 822.
I don't know enough about Google Groups to state whether there is a way to suppress the "Reply-To" header to restore the former behavior.
