Congratulations to Mark DiNucci! Mark was a factor and early influence in my development as a young framebuilder after we, Mike Howard and myself as Wizard Cycles, paid a visit to Strawberry Cycles in 1974 to buy some lugs and tubing.
Mark is truly one of the "old school" craftsman framebuilders.
Sacramento seems like a good spot for NAHBS in 2012. I will probably make an appearance there after taking a break as the show was in the East. I will be returning to a regular framebuilding routine after two years of inability to work on account of construction. I'm entering the Oregon Manifest Design Challenge in order to restart my creative juices.
Looking forward to seeing you guys down here in April. Again, congratulations to Mark DiNucci!

Congrats to Mark DiNucci for taking 'Best in Show' at NAHBS in Austin with a rather restrained but beautifully executed design. Add this to his 'Best Lugged Frame' award from last year and it's great to see that the skill & craftsmanship from the first wave of American framebuilders like Weigle, Johnson, Sachs, Gordon & Baylis still stands out among the onslaught bling that sometimes passes for exceptional execution.
