My favourite ride is my 1948/9 Carpenter - I still love the simplicity of the single-speed. I also regularly ride my 1982 Bob Jackson. My 1981 Ilkeston Raleigh now mainly hangs on its hook as it is too much of a thoroughbred for me most days. I am looking forward to finishing the 1941/2 Joe Cooke Imperial Petrel. Off-topic I have a 1990s Bianchi cro-mo hybrid framed franken bike which is my all-purpose bad-weather commuter. In the snow, I use a 1990s Peugeot aluminum framed MTB. I don't often cycle in the snow, but occasionally commute to work if the roads are reasonably clean.

> I don't own & am not interested in owning one of today's modern wonder bikes.
> I ride and race (when white stuff 'ain't on the ground) my '72 Cinelli, '83 Scapin; '83 Paletti; Late 70's Viner or Mid-'80's Sarronni.
> On the track, I use my '76 Zebrakenko.
