Interesting question Jerry,
I'd ride it, but I'm not of the "it's a bike for Kreist's sake, it must be ridden" bent. I suppose there are some bikes too historically important to be ridden, but I don't think 70's classics fall into that category. Having said that, I am a bit reluctant to ride my near pristine '73 Team Champion. I have a somewhat inordinate and illogical fear of crashing it or scraping it up. But it sees a few miles every year.
Nice Zeus, but I'd ride it. A pristine 70 Cinelli SC might be a different story however.

\r?\n> Some speculation as to what Zeus
\r?\n> SuperSer on Ebay will bring. Guessing
\r?\n> $1,500 but may be under. Let's say you bought it, or a
\r?\n> perfect Herse or
\r?\n> Galmozzi. Would you ride it?
\r?\n>
\r?\n> I am working on a Zeus frame restore I will ride 300 or so
\r?\n> miles a year. It
\r?\n> will be Zeus-style but not original. If I bought the
\r?\n> SuperSer would I be
\r?\n> afraid to ride it? Not sure.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Is this irrational? My main rides -- including a one of
\r?\n> kind steel custom -
\r?\n> cost me more than this bike will sell for. But they are
\r?\n> replaceable, not a
\r?\n> piece of history like the vintage bikes list members
\r?\n> own. Curious to hear
\r?\n> your thoughts.
