Been there......but I haven't done that! I lived in Fairbanks, AK for a while back in the late 70's. Didn't do any biking; but I've seen that sign read "-52 degrees". The day I left Alaska it was minus 52 degrees and when I landed at LAX it was 56 degrees above zero. That's a long thermometer! I went back to Fairbanks in 1979 for a visit during the summer and watched a criterium in downtown Fairbanks. The total number of riders in the race was about 12. All of the USCF catagories rode together!!
