I still have my early 80's Zzipper. They aren't much if any use under 20 mph, so unless you are going very fast, they don't do much. I have been able to measure a difference on a tandem on a long downhill (top speed of well over 40 mph). They also help protect your privates and hands in very cold weather, unfortunately they can also crack if too cold... I do not believe they have been made for many years now.
