For the 1st ten years that I rode real racing bikes with sew ups, I didn't have a floor pump at all. I used the old fashioned flat top Silca with a Campy steel head and always got over 100 psi with no problems. I was NEVER able to get that kind of pressure with a Zefal. O course, the Zefal does have the advantage of being aluminum, if you drop it, it can get a nice big ol' dent. Of course, when I finally got a Silca floor pump, I wondered why I hadn't gotten it ages ago...
