The show in Chicago sounds much like the Big Stampede to be held for the second year in Charlotte,NC next Saturday. Last years show had a spattering of vintage goods but was predominantly newer gear. Some especially good values could be found in offerings from last years used & unused pro team gear. Off Topic Navigator Team Colnago C40s with Shimano were selling for $1500-4000 depending on condition.

I think it is a bit unrealistic for one to expect a lot of vintage gear at this type of event. The overwhelming majority of the attendees are looking for the latest and greatet at a bargain and not vintage stuff. It is a bonus that folks are actually there selling vintage gear.

The second annual Big Stampede info can be found on there website. http://www.bigstampede.com/ The CR crew made the headline photos from last years show.

See Ya There !!!!!!!! Nick Zatezalo Atlanta,Ga

Perhaps they were my own expectations but I must admit I was a bit disapointed. I was expecting alot more vintage parts, frames, and bikes. I was expecting more dealers with vintage parts in general. I do agree however that this show does have alot of potential and looking back considering this was the first year it was a good turn out in terms people and there was enough there to keep me occupied for a few hours. And I have to say I picked up some nice parts. I may have over paid for one or two things but overall the prices were very fair. One dealer had a nice older falcon bicycle but it was sold by the time I walked over. I was tempted by an alan frame and fork for 150.00 or best offer but by the time I decided to buy it, it was gone. There was a nice early trek frame with ishiwata 022 tubing and campy drop outs but I thought 300.00 was just a tad too
