Hi Marc, I attend the Denver Veloswap faithfully. These swaps are a hit and miss thing, some are good, some are great, some are just so so. I always try and share a table with someone, mainly so I can get in early to catch the deals, but also to sell some bits.

It sounds to me like you did ok. As the word of this spreads I imagine next year will be even better. I find even when I don't buy things I still have a ball looking. It sure beats staying home doing "honey-do's".

> I too attended veloswap here in chicago yesterday and I read the other two

\r?\n> reports and I have to agree and disagree with them both. Perhaps they were my

\r?\n> own expectations but I must admit I was a bit disapointed. I was expecting alot

\r?\n> more vintage parts, frames, and bikes. I was expecting more dealers with vintage

\r?\n> parts in general. I do agree however that this show does have alot of potential

\r?\n> and looking back considering this was the first year it was a good turn out in

\r?\n> terms people and there was enough there to keep me occupied for a few hours. And

\r?\n> I have to say I picked up some nice parts. I may have over paid for one or two

\r?\n> things but overall the prices were very fair. One dealer had a nice older falcon

\r?\n> bicycle but it was sold by the time I walked over. I was tempted by an alan

\r?\n> frame and fork for 150.00 or best offer but by the time I decided to buy it, it

\r?\n> was gone. There was a nice early trek frame with ishiwata 022 tubing and campy

\r?\n> drop outs but I thought 300.00 was just a tad too

\r?\n> steep for me.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> What I did pick up was as follows:

\r?\n> pat 73 nuovo record front and rear derailleurs in pristine shape, complete with

\r?\n> all bits and bolts for 75.00

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Set of campy sr long reach calipers, both missing rubber rings, and one missing

\r?\n> the cap bolt for 50.00

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Brooks pro saddle, black, small rivets. 3 campy cable clamps and a cable guide,

\r?\n> all for 55.00

\r?\n>

\r?\n> The find of day for me was a set of campy drilled brake levers complete with

\r?\n> black hoods although one has a small tear, world logos, for 20.00 The seller

\r?\n> had some 80's victory levers with white hoods for 24.00, not quite sure why I

\r?\n> didn't pick those up.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> set of shimano 600 brake calipers for 10.00

\r?\n>

\r?\n> I'm definately looking forward to next year.
