Just to clarify: You meant the weights were very close to the claimed weight? 70 grams in a rim seems to make a difference. I weighed NOS Ergals and came up with very close to 290 gms. Didn't weigh the red label rim before it was built into a wheel so can't vouch for that. I seem to be a "bit" too heavy for the Ergals so I'll have a nice pair of Ergals I'll have to sell one of these days.
