Subject: [CR]Too many messages? Try this before unsubscribing!

A recent bunch of overwhelmed readers complaints prompted posting a solution for too many messages.

1. At the bottom of every message, the website information address is posted: <http://www.bikelist.org/mailman/listinfo/classicrendezvous>.

2. Go to this site, and down at the bottom, enter the address you're getting the messages sent to next to the button that says "Unsubscribe or edit options".

3. At the next page enter your password & "Log in", If you've forgotten your password, you have an option to have it sent to you with "Remind"

4. On the next page, in the grey area find:

Set Digest Mode

If you turn digest mode on, you'll get posts bundled together (usually one per day but possibly more on busy lists), instead of singly when they're sent. If digest mode is changed from on to off, you may receive one last digest.

5. Turn it to 'On", and you'll get messages bundled together a few times a day. At the top there'll be an index you can check to see if there's any messages you're interested in and you can scroll down to read them and ignore the rest. I'm on a dozen lists and this is the way I handle excessive volume.
