Greg,
I don't know a whole lot about Dale Saso, but I did meet and visit with him back in the 90's sometime. He is from San Jose, CA and was building a while before that time. He was not active as a framebuilder when we talked. He began to specialize in fillet brazed tandems eventually. I met him through a fellow framebuilder named Leo Castellon who worked for Tesch for a while. Leo learned the trade from Dale and himself was an excellent fillet brazer. That's about all I know about Dale Saso. He was talented and quite friendly.

I recently acquired an early '80s (I think - 123 mm rear spacing??) Dale Saso 531 frameset.
